(Almost) a Huge Day for Boxing (May 13)

Who else thought Haney vs Loma was this week? I sure did. Now I’m kind of disappointed, but there’s still a few pretty good cards for predicting. Just took way more time than I wanted to updating the fight schedule for 2023, so I’ll just be doing basic predictions for fights this week (apologies for those who actually read my breakdowns).

How I’d Prioritize watching these events

  1. ESPN+ card (2 title fights, pretty big fan of Zhanibek. Should be a fun event)
  2. UFC Fight Night (Banger of a main event, fun card throughout. Elite depth of the card which has been a staple of UFC cards this year)
  3. FITE PPV card (Not worth spending money on but still should be a fun event.)
  4. BT Sport card (Not a great main event but big fan of Karol Itauma, want to see him fight well in his bounce-back fight)
  5. Showtime card (Mid main event on a loaded Saturday, easily the most forgettable event on that day)
  6. France card (Would love to watch the main event if it is streaming. I don’t think it is but I’ll update y’all if I find anything out beforehand)
  7. DAZN card (Wouldn’t have been listed if it wasn’t easily accessible via DAZN)

10-5 with 3 cards left to go. Nothing crazy happening yet but Casimero robbed the decision W

Also holy smokes Ian Garry for my fellow UFC fans. Putting the top 15 on serious notice

Also solid performance out of Karol Itauma, can’t ask for much better for a return fight after getting KTFO last time out. Went through the gears and won a clear decision. Good stuff

15-6 on the weekend as a whole. Man what a bad card for Showtime. BS decisions and stoppages on 3 fights on the same card may be a new record.

166-63 on the year
