We finally got some fights to look forward to for 2023!
Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez and Christian Gonzalez are booked to fight on April 8 for the vacant WBO flyweight title. Bam is a super entertaining fighter and Gonzalez has come off of two early knockouts (despite not being televised). Should be an intriguing matchup
And even before that, it appears that at least two of the top welterweights are willing to go at each other. Virgil Ortiz and Eimantas Stanionis are going to go at it on March 18 for the WBA ‘Regular’ title, which could lead to a consolidation fight in the near future.
Lastly, though there is not a date set yet, Murodjon ‘MJ’ Akhmadaliev and Marlon Tapales are going to fight for MJ’s IBF and WBA titles.
Finally some good fights BOOKED for 2023. Hopefully just the start of good things to come for the sport this year.
