What do people think about this fight?
Most people I hear talk about this seem to be predicting AJ to win by knockout. I see a late Dubois win - by knockout. I imagine AJ getting caught and losing his legs after an accumulation of pressure and hard jabs, before being knocked out by Dubois. I predict the late rounds, maybe 9 or 10.
If AJ does win, I think it will be on points. But, I just don’t think so.
Since the win against Takam in 2017 (7 years ago now) I don’t feel I have seen enough from AJ to confidently predict he will beat Dubois by knockout. He is capable of doing so…it is not impossible, but will he go into the fight with that as his prime objective?
Since the Takam fight he went 12 rounds with Parker… was knocked out by Ruiz, and then in the rematch with Ruiz went the full 12… he could not stop Usyk in two separate fights… and later went 12 rounds with Franklin.
He did stop Wallin, Helenius, Pulev and Povetkin. But Dubois is not in his late 30s; he appears very ambitious and hungry for victory recently, and he is (I would argue) a much tougher task than all the fighters AJ has stopped since 2017.
I’m going for Dubois to win by knockout in round 9 or 10.
