My IBF light heavyweight title has been vacant for 3 years now. Number one contender has faced number two a few times, but nobody is awarded the title. The game time is around 30 years. Should I expect this to be a permanent situation now?

It’s not a fighter, it’s a title that doesn’t have a holder and isn’t available to win, even if the top contenders fight.

Worthwhile noting that, despite retiring 4 years ago, that former champion still has a “next fight”, on a date that passed ages ago
